THE GAMING COMMISSION OF GHANA
RIGHT TO INFORMATION
The Right to Information is a constitutional right granted to all citizens under Article 21(1)(f) of Ghana's 1992 Constitution to access information in the possession of a public or government entity. The Parliament of Ghana enacted the Right to Information Act 2019, on March 26, 2019, and assented to on May 21, 2019 by His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo.
The implementation of this constitutional right is to enhance accountability and transparency in the public or government sector.
In compliance with the legislation, a dedicated Right to Information desk has been created within the Commission’s Corporate Affairs Unit and Bridget Allotey (Ms.) has been designated as the officer to facilitate the processing of all applications for access to information.
Members of the general public requesting information under RTI law can contact the Gaming Commission at info@gamingcommission.gov.gh or phone 0277698935. In addition, applications can be presented in person at the front office of Commission.
