
The Board Chair of the Gaming Commission of Ghana, Hon. James Enu, Esq., has underscored the importance of preserving Ghana’s traditions and cultural heritage.
Addressing Management and Staff at the launch of the Commission’s 2026 Heritage Month celebration, Hon. Enu stated that Ghana’s heritage reflects the nation’s history, customs, and shared values that unite its people. He noted that such celebrations serve as a reminder of the sacrifices and dedication of Ghana’s forebears, particularly their role in the country’s independence struggle and national development.
The Ag. Gaming Commissioner, Mr. Emmanuel Siisi Quainoo, commended staff for their enthusiastic participation and for proudly showcasing Ghanaian culture through traditional attire, especially the fugu.
He emphasized that Ghana’s heritage is an invaluable national asset that must be preserved and celebrated not only during Heritage Month, but throughout the year. Mr. Quainoo further encouraged staff to use the celebration as an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of Ghana’s traditions and cultural practices.
The month-long celebration aims to promote Ghana’s indigenous culture, traditions, and national identity among staff, while fostering unity and teamwork within the Commission. Activities scheduled for the celebration by the Gaming Commission of Ghana, includes Fugu Day, an Inter-Directorate/Unit Quiz, and a themed “60s Retro” day.
